This real estate logo design was a rebranding effort for a real estate company based in Texas. The old logo had a patriotic concept, with the Texas red, white and blue color scheme and an illustrated state icon and the words spelled out in one bold line of text. It was a little dated looking and did not work as well on marketing materials due to the long horizontal layout that it had.
The new logo design focuses on the what the business does, buying and selling homes. The original logo design focused a little more on the Texas reference and less on real estate. To maintain a Texas concept the red, white and blue color scheme was carried over. This still helps call out the Texas heritage. Subtly using the negative space in the letterforms creating an illustrated house also helps to represent the real estate role of the business in a creative manner. A font treatment still using a bold style, like the old logo, but with decorative serifs to add a nice touch of elegance to the logo design.
